A Trial of Your Faith

Here's a link to the whole thing

I tried to pick out a part to quote but it's all so good a quote doesn't do it justice.

Do not look at how hard and difficult everything is. Do not ask, "Why is this happening to me?" Let us be positive to know that God is permitting it for our good. It is our gold mine of spiritual joy and eternal happiness.

Let us consider something else Peter said in 4:12-13. "Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy."

"This mortal body is weak and full of afflictions and pain. But the Holy Spirit sustains and comforts us. This sweet gift of God, given through Christ, helps our infirmities and even interceds for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Thus we can conquer and prevail even in the most dreadful and difficult circumstances. As Paul said in II Corinthians 4:8-10, "We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus."
